Nam adalah seorang gadis berkacamata dan berkulit gelap berusia 14 tahun. Ia seperti itik buruk rupa yang diam-diam jatuh cinta dengan Chon (Mario Maurer), seniornya di SMU yang juga siswa paling populer. Selama satu musim panas, Nam membuang kacamata dan memutihkan kulitnya, dan kemudian mendapat peran Putih Salju dalam drama sekolah serta menjadi mayoret band di sekolah.
